Briana Frederick is a weaver, wife, human & goat mama in Louisville, Kentucky. She brings together varied fibers, textures & colors to create functional wearable art, most often in the form of cowls, scarves & neckerchiefs. She also has two Nigora goats, Betty & Boon, who produce fiber for many pieces.

Each warp is uniquely named, & the pieces made are much like siblings; same yarns in one direction (the warp), but different yarns in the other (the weft), resulting in one-of-a-kind finished works, all part of the greater handwoven family by Bri Weaves.

Newest Release

My older two kids read from an early age, and a lot. This is likely why they spelled so accurately as soon as they began writing. My third kid began reading at a slower pace, and has a much greater interest in drawing & creating on paper himself. It’s been so different to observe the gradual process of learning to read. This wild last child spells quite fantastically & I love it. He began writing a story while we (I) packed for a camping trip this past weekend. As I measured, priced & tagged these works around the campfire, I took his spelling of wilderness as its name.
