Welcome to Bri Weaves
handwoven for all
Briana Frederick is a weaver, wife, human & goat mama in Louisville, Kentucky. She brings together varied fibers, textures & colors to create functional wearable art, most often in the form of cowls, scarves & neckerchiefs. She also has two Nigora goats, Betty & Boon, who produce fiber for many pieces.
Each warp is uniquely named, & the pieces made are much like siblings; same yarns in one direction (the warp), but different yarns in the other (the weft), resulting in one-of-a-kind finished works, all part of the greater handwoven family by Bri Weaves.

Hope you've enjoyed the studio remodel process on my IG. It was a lot of work, but the end purpose was highly motivating. I realize how fortunate I am for this new space & the ability to do what I love for work.
This warp was actually pulled off at Locust Grove‘s Gardener’s Fair in May. I know it’s the height of summer & no one wants these yet, but trying not to fall too far behind on posting anyway. This is the last hand dyed rainbow from my COLLIDER residency at the South Central Branch of LFPL, and the last warp woven in my old studio. Two scarves and 3 cowls. The green scarf will be at The Stories We Tell, a group show at La Galeria within Foko, opening July 25th Come see the show! It will be for sale here soon after,
I hope you all are well as you can be these days.
