Welcome to Bri Weaves
handwoven neckwear & more for all
Briana Frederick is a weaver, wife, human & goat mama in Louisville, Kentucky. She brings together varied fibers, textures & colors to create functional wearable art, most often in the form of cowls, scarves & neckerchiefs. She also has two Nigora goats, Betty & Boon, who produce fiber for many pieces.
Each warp is uniquely named, & the pieces made are much like siblings; same yarns in one direction (the warp), but different yarns in the other (the weft), resulting in one-of-a-kind finished works, all part of the greater handwoven family by Bri Weaves.

Only held a few back from this lovely custom I wove for Capacity Contemporary, inspired by the owner, Casey Dressell, an incredible artist herself and her solo show at Bellarmine University. The Centered Warp, five here, find the many others in her shop. I had a lot of fun returning to these cozy neutrals. Hope you enjoy, and if you want me to make more like it let me know!
